Happy Monday! Did anyone else’s weekend just fly by? I know mine did and this time change is all kinds of messing with my schedule and internal clock. I’m so sad that it’ll be dark when I leave work in the evenings.
My Friday was a blur. After work I had some errands to run and I stopped at Starbucks to get my first peppermint mocha of the season. Can we talk about the new cups though? I’m not a fan (although they won’t stop me from making my couple of times a week coffee run). The red cups just made me happy and for some reason red just seems so much more festive! Afterwards I ran next door for a long overdue and much needed mani/pedi. I love the color! I got the DND Gel Polish in Deep Mystery. It’s the perfect greyish fall color.
So earlier in the day Friday I was shopping around on Nordstrom.com and noticed that you can place an online order and then pick it up in one hour. ONE HOUR! It takes me longer than an hour just to find what I’m looking for because the Nordstrom closest to me is HUGE. They’ll even bring it out to you so you don’t have to park if you call them when you’re ten minutes away. I was/am seriously way to excited about this. I also have a feeling it could be super dangerous. Nordstrom for the win again!
Once I calmed down from all of the Nordstrom pickup excitement I met B for dinner at our favorite local sushi restaurant. They seriously have the best rolls (and Spicy Garlic Edamame). We honestly haven’t had a roll that we wouldn’t order again and I could drink the sauce that comes on the edamame. If you’re in the Silicon Valley area and looking for a sushi restaurant you need to try Omee. J Fusion Sushi Grill & Bar.
Saturday was spent tailgating and going to the Stanford vs Oregon State game. We had so much fun! The weather was perfect and the company was even better! I haven’t spent much time at Stanford but it’s gorgeous. I think everyone would agree that it’s something we should do more often.
I don’t think I did a single productive thing on Sunday. We grabbed brunch and then just lounged around. We watched movies, cuddled Porter, and just had a lazy Sunday. It was completely necessary.
I hope everyone has a great week! Can you believe there are only 17 days left until Thanksgiving?!
