Oh Friday am I so happy to see you again! It’s been a little bit of a rough week. I’ve been dealing with some sinus/ear issues all week and the struggle has been so real. I have been loading up on vitamins, herbal tea, and a lot of water. Hopefully I’m back to 100% come Monday.
I am looking forward to a pretty low key weekend. The only real plans we have is the Stanford game on Saturday with a group of friends. Fall is for football and tailgates, am I right? It doesn’t hurt that Palo Alto is super cute too! Maybe I’ll be able to squeeze in a little shopping after.
Did you guys watch game 7 of the World Series?! It was such an intense baseball game and I loved every second of it. I grew up about a half hour south of Cleveland so I spent some time at Indians games when I was younger. I wouldn’t call myself a huge baseball fan but I really wanted to the Indians take it. I mean what a great year for Cleveland sports! It’s not always pretty but one thing is definitely true; Cleveland loves their sports teams.
I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
What I’m Loving
If you’re a VIB Rouge member Sephora’s 20% off sale starts TODAY! I seriously look forward to this sale every single year. It’s when I stock up on my go to products and when I try out a few new things. I also like to take advantage of the sale and add a new fragrance to my collection. Has anyone tried the Armani Si Intense? Armani Si is one of my all time favorite scents so I’m thinking I might love it! I really, REALLY want to try out the Natasha Denona Star Palette. I’ve seen swatches and they look gorgeous but sheesshh that price tag. What to do, what to do?Nordstrom Fall Sale
One of my favorite things about Nordstrom is that they actually put in season items on sale! That’s not something that most department stores do. There are some great options too! It’s not very often that you find Rails tops on sale for 40% off. SIGN.ME.UP. These tops are seriously some of the softest and most comfy plaid shirts I’ve come across. There are also a ton of great boots/booties on sale. The Barefoot Dreams throw from my fall favorites is also part of the sale.
We’re heading to Vegas for New Years and we seriously got the best deal on a condo for our stay through Airbnb. If you’ve ever been to Vegas over New Years you know just how steep the prices become. The condo is so cute and has the best views of the city. I would be lying if I said I haven’t had a bad experience or two using Airbnb but the same could be said about some hotels I’ve stayed at as well. Overall it’s totally worth it and I feel like you end up with much nicer accommodations and far better pricing. If you haven’t used Airbnb yet you should really give it a try. I mean can we talk about how gorgeous our Airbnb in Palm Springs was? The hosts were really phenomenal too!
I’m heading back to the south for Thanksgiving and I cannot wait. I’ll be home for a week and half and my heart is so happy. I haven’t been home for more than a long weekend since we moved over a year ago and my sister and I haven’t been home at the same time since she moved out west over two and a half years ago. My soul needs this trip so bad. Nine days with all of my family and best friends. NINE WHOLE DAYS! Did I mention the delicious southern Thanksgiving feast that will be had? Stuffing, sweet potato casserole, deviled eggs! Give it all to me. I already know I’m going to be so homesick when I leave. Excuse me while I go ahead and pack my big girl panties.
Okay, okay. I’m a little behind on this seeing as our wedding is only seven months away but I’m super excited to finally go wedding dress shopping. Wedding planning has been hard and, at times, a little sad because those I love most are so far away. I knew I especially wanted to share my dress experience with my favorite people. Although I haven’t actually been shopping yet I cannot sing the praises of Wildflower Bridal loud enough! They have been so helpful and kind. I’m taking the redeye home and didn’t want to dress shop that Saturday. I was afraid that I’d be tired (mama needs a good nights rest) and I really want to enjoy the process. They aren’t typically open on Sunday’s but were so flexible and allowed me to schedule an appointment anyway. That’s definitely a customer service win in my book. I’ve also found a few dresses online that are exactly my vision for our beach wedding. If you’re in the Asheville area and on the market for a wedding dress you should definitely check them out. Just look how cute their storefront is!
